The Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation, Eng. Erick Mugaa, accompanied by Principal Secretary Julius Korir and Water Secretary SAO Alima, paid a courtesy visit the Agency in Nakuru. They were warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Board, Hon. Mathenge Ndiritu, and Chief Executive Officer, CPA Douglas Murei.
The discussions focused on the pressing challenges facing water provision in the region, including water scarcity, the effects of climate change on water resources, and the urgent need for sustainable water management. Eng. Mugaa emphasized the crucial role CRVWWDA plays in providing clean and safe water, particularly in areas experiencing rapid urban and rural population growth.
Key achievements in flagship projects were also discussed, such as the expansion of water supply systems such as Last Mile Connectivity Project and the rehabilitation of aging infrastructure such as the anticipated Lake Nakuru Biodiversity Project which ensures efforts are vital in ensuring long-term water security in the region.
